Parshurama was known as Rama.
The real name of Prashurama was Rama, But after learning Vedas Rama showed desire to learn Archery, Jamadagni advised him to go to Himalayas and worship Lord Shiva. When Devtas came to Shiva for help against Asuras Shiva ordered Rama to Destroy them. Rama Destroyed all the Asuras without any weapon.Lord Shiva impressed by this and gave a weapon called Parshu(Farshi). Thus, Rama Became Parshurama.
Parshurama Killed all the Kshatriyas
This is the most interesting story about Lord Parshurama.
Enraged by this act, Parshurama killed Kartivirya and rescued Kamdhenu.
But when he came back his father Jamadagni told Parshurama to worship god for this sin. While Parshurama was away for 'Tap', Kartivirya's son killed Jamadagni for revenge. In revenge of this Lord Parshurama killed all the sons of kartivirya, when other Kshtriya kings came to help Maheshmati Against Parshurama, Parshurama alone killed all of them, He killed all the Kshatriyas on the earth 21 times.Showing his anger Maharshi Ruchik stopped him and after that Parshurama donated the whole earth of Bramhins, And went to the Mahendragiri Mountain to live rest of his life and worship god.
Parshurama Broke Lord Ganesha's Tooth
Once Parshurama went Kailash to meet Lord Shiva he was stopped by Lord Ganesha as Lord Shiva was in Dhyan. Angry Parshurama Threw his Axe to Ganesha and Ganesha allowed it on his left Tusk, Because that axe was given to Parshurama By his Father Shiva. After this Incident Ganesha was Known as 'Ekdanta'.
Parshurama cursed Karna
Karna lied about his identity to take Vidhya from Parshurama, But when Parshurama came to know that Karna is a Kshatriya not Bramhin, Parshurama cursed Karna that he will forget his skills at the time when he will need the most. In the battle of Mahabharat Karna forgot all the skills while fighting against Arjuna and lost against Arjuna and died.
There are many other incidents about Parshurama. Parshurama once killed his Mother to obey his Father's order. Parshurama was in favor of peace and he adviced Dhrutrastra to have peace with Pandavas and prevent the war of Mahabharata.
Parshurma is worshiped by Hindus for his power and the lessons he have given to the mankind.
